Admissions

Doctor of Audiology (Au.D)

The Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) is a four-year, post-baccalaureate doctoral program designed to prepare students for professional practice in audiology. Includes both academic coursework and clinical practicum experiences. Depending on your academic or clinical background, additional coursework may be required to ensure all program competencies are met.

Total Program Requirements: 99 credit hours

All applicants must submit their materials through the Communication Sciences and Disorders Centralized Application Service (CSDCAS). Applications are accepted once per year. The Au.D. program begins in the Fall semester only.

  • A bachelor鈥檚 degree must be conferred by Spring 2027.
  • All application materials must be received and verified by CSDCAS no later than February 1, 2027.
  • We strongly encourage applicants to submit materials early to allow time for verification.

You do not need an undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders to apply. Students from diverse academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Required undergraduate coursework in Communication Sciences and Disorders (e.g., language development and language disorders) may be completed during the Au.D. program. This flexibility allows motivated students from related and non-related majors to successfully transition into audiology training.

We take a holistic approach to admissions. There is no minimum GPA requirement. The average cumulative undergraduate GPA of recently admitted students was 3.67 (on a 4.0 scale. Additional program statistics are available through the

If you鈥檙e unsure whether your background or coursework qualifies, or if you鈥檙e considering audiology from a different academic path, we encourage you to apply and to reach out with questions.
