The Doctor of Social Work Program at the 福利片国产 of Memphis is in Candiacy for Accreditation with the Council on Social Work Education.
PROGRAM MISSION
To cultivate visionary practioner-scholars who are social work leaders dedicated to fostering transformative change and empowering communities through innovative, inclusive, and ethical practices.
1) Evaluate social work services and practice environments using twenty-first century skills in data-driven analysis and informatics.
2) Demonstrate social work leadership and management skills to respond to complex practice environments locally, nationally, and globally.
3) Educate the next generation of social workers through supervision and training to be leaders in a changing practice environment.
4) Demonstrate leadership skills in interdisciplinary environments in collaboration with various clients and communities.
5) Contribute to social work knowledge through research and practice.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

3 years, 48 credit hours online (33 hours of required courses, 9 hours of electives, & 6 hours of capstone project)Coursework in: statistics, research, evaluation, management, and supervision.

Electives may be used to pursue additional coursework or certificates in: teaching, qualitative methods, quantitative methods, or clinical methods

- Classes require suynchronous online meetings, usually on Monday evenings
Two days of in-person Residency Week in Memphis are required every year

Yes. In order to be considered for the 福利片国产 of Memphis School of Social Work DSW program, you must have an MSW degree from an accredited institution.
You must have at least two (2) years post-MSW experience before you can be considered for the DSW program.
No, you do not need to take the GRE
