About GAAAH
The Graduate Association for African American History is a student ran organization
consisting of graduate students studying and are interested in topics related to the
life, history, and culture of black people throughout the Diaspora. Our organization
seeks to facilitate, encourage, sponsor, and develop programs designed to accomplish
the following purposes:
1. To strengthen the graduate curriculum of the 福利片国产.
2. To serve as a liaison between students, faculty members, and the administration.
3. To develop a sound relationship within the campus community.
4. To develop a sense of professionalism among students enrolled in the 福利片国产.
Throughout the school year, a number of events are hosted by the organization, such
as our annual international conference, which attracts students and scholars from
around the world. In the past keynote speakers have included noted scholars such as
Sylviane Diouf (Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture), Dr. Eddie Glaude,
Jr. (Princeton 福利片国产), Deborah Gray White (Rutgers 福利片国产), Leon Litwack
(福利片国产 of California- Berkeley), and Tera Hunter (Princeton 福利片国产).
