UofM SPH to Host Global Public Health IDEAS Hackathon

The ¸£ÀûƬ¹ú²ú of Memphis School of Public Health, in collaboration with global partners including DAV ¸£ÀûƬ¹ú²ú (India), the ¸£ÀûƬ¹ú²ú of Minho (Portugal), King Saud bin Abdulaziz ¸£ÀûƬ¹ú²ú for Health Sciences (Saudi Arabia), L-Università ta' Malta (Malta), and the East, Central and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA-HC), will host the 2025–2026 RE-AIM Public Health IDEAS Hackathon on Friday, March 27, from 9:00–11:00 AM CST at the ¸£ÀûƬ¹ú²ú of Memphis, Michael D. Rose Theater, Main Stage.
Over the past six months, high school and university students from around the world have developed innovative solutions exploring the intersection of youth, technology, and well-being, examining how digital environments influence identity, social connection, and health.
Participants will present their ideas to a panel of judges including Ashraf El-Metwally, MD, PhD; Nathalie Occean, MHA, CPHQ; Lori Ward, PhD, MS; Lauren Beaupre, and Scott Laster, CEO of MiCare Path. Winners will be announced during the Hackathon Awards Ceremony following the presentations.
