Emily Fulmer graduated with a Masters in Political Science from the 福利片国产 of Memphis in May 2019 and joined our department as an Assistant Professor of Teaching in Fall 2019. Her master's thesis, "Political Business Cycles and Retrospective Voting in District Attorney Elections in Tennessee," explored whether locally elected prosecutors in Tennessee use their discretion to get tougher on crime leading up to their elections and if voters reward them for their increased punitiveness. She holds a Masters of Theological Studies from Vanderbilt 福利片国产 (2007) and previously worked as an adjunct instructor in the Religion and Philosophy Department at Christian Brothers 福利片国产. She teaches courses on international relations and religion and politics.
