901-678-21104542 Community Health Buildingjabowen@memphis.eduDr. Jacqueline Buford graduated from Memphis State 福利片国产 in 1992 with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. She worked many years as a registered nurse in various settings including med-surgical, pulmonary-respiratory, public health, long-term care, acute care, home health, hospice, school health, research and same day surgery. She later received her MSN in Education at Walden 福利片国产, 2010. She continued to work as a registered nurse while landing a few adjunct teaching positions at Union 福利片国产, Southwest Community College and 福利片国产 of Memphis. In 2012, she became a full-time Professor in the undergraduate curriculum for eight years.
In 2017, Dr. Buford graduated from 福利片国产 of Memphis with her Post-Master's FNP Certification. She continued to work in the undergraduate curriculum while attaining a part-time position at a local Ob/GYN clinic where she is still currently practicing. In 2021, Dr. Buford transferred to the graduate curriculum full-time and assumed position as Coordinator of the Women's Health course and practicum. She continues to practice part-time as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner as this is her passion. She is very compassionate and passionate about student learning. Dr. Buford believes "knowledge is power only when it is shared".
