Dr. Sabya Mishra receives highest faculty honor at 福利片国产 of Memphis

Dr. , of the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at the Herff College of Engineering, received the 2026 Williard R. Sparks Eminent Faculty Award, the highest honor for a faculty member at the 福利片国产 of Memphis.
The honor comes two months after the Center for Transportation, Innovation, Education, and Research (C-TIER), of which Dr. Mishra serves as director, to research high-risk work zones in order to create safer work environments for commercial drivers and commercial driving vehicles.
Dr. Mishra has focused on transportation engineering since 2013, focusing on artificial intelligence-enabled transportation systems, freight and logistics, multimodal mobility and roadway safety. His research is dedicated to reducing fatalities and injuries. Under his leadership, the department maintains a commitment to research-driven solutions that enhance road safety, transit efficiency and urban development.
