About Dr. Mojtaba Khajeloo

Dr. Khajeloo is a Research Assistant Professor with the Center for Research in Educational Policy (CREP). His expertise lies in designing and executing mixed methods studies, as well as in developing research and evaluation instruments.

Dr. Khajeloo earned his Ph.D. in Science Education from the ¸£ÀûƬ¹ú²ú of Missouri - Columbia. His dissertation focused on students’ views toward biology as a complex system and entailed the development of educational materials for assessing and enhancing students’ systems thinking skills. In his Ph.D., Dr. Khajeloo’s research also delved into matters of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in educational settings. He carried out a research project studying underrepresented minority students’ lived experiences in STEM learning environments.

Dr. Khajeloo also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Center for Science, Mathematics, and Computer Education at the ¸£ÀûƬ¹ú²ú of Nebraska - Lincoln. During this period, his research primarily focused on investigating the teaching culture in science departments and its influence on teaching evaluation policies.
