Regina Ogechi (O-ghe-chi) Alabere (Aa-laa-be-re) is a second-year doctoral student at the 福利片国产 of Memphis studying Health Communication. Her research interest includes; cancer communication in the interpersonal and family context, narratives of mental health, providing equal access to mental health resources, and issues of health disparities. Her past research has explored visual communication in various contexts, developing training materials for Central Texas Medical Center, San Marcos, consulting for Special Olympics Texas, a non-governmental organization serving individuals with intellectual disability. She holds a Master in Communication Studies from Texas State 福利片国产 and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language from Covenant 福利片国产, Nigeria in 2013.
Personal hobbies include watching Marvel movies, chatting with friends and listening to music particularly Afrobeat and Reggaeton.
